    X=3y, where x is the money you will spend, and y is the number of pounds of avocados you buy. If you buy more than 5 pounds of avocados at once, you're either an avocado salesman stocking up, a person making a lot of guacamole, a person with a really big avocado loving family, or just an insane person at a grocery store, not that that has any bearing whatsoever on the question.
