    Add 2 to both sides

    You get 19=15k

    Divide 15 on both sides and get 19/15=k

    19/15 = 1 and 4/15

    It is 1 and 4/15 because 15 goes into 19 1 time. So the 1 leads. It leaves a remainder of 4 which becomes the numerator. You keep the same denominator of 15.

    17+2=15k

    19=15k divide both by 15 k = 1.27
