First thing is to convert each latitude to degrees by dividing minute by 60 and seconds by 3600.

    37+47/60+36/3600≈37.7933°

    47+37/60+18/3600≈47.6217°

The difference is equal to 9.8284°

    Circumference:

    2π*4000=25,133 miles

The distance is equal to the degree over 360 multiplied by the circumference.

    (9.8284/360) * 25,133=686.1 miles
