Jamie and Lauren are playing a game of fraction war. They pick 2 cards each and try to make the greatest fraction. If Jamie picked 7 and 10 and Lauren picked 12 and 6. How do you get the answer?

    If they both aren't exchanging the cards and making the fractions from their own picked ones, then Jamie will will have 7/10 and Lauren will have 6/12.

    7/10 is a bigger fraction to 6/12

    6/12 is 1/2 in simplified form. To check answer - in decimal format, 7/10=0.7 and 1/2 is 0.5. So, we can say for sure that 7/10 is the greatest fraction.
