Max ran a total of 5 miles around a track. Each lap was 1/8 of a mile. Zachary ran 36 laps around the track. Who ran more laps? Show your work.

    Max ran more since 5•8=40 and 40 is greater than 36

    Max ran more than zachary because, max ran 5 miles. 5 miles x 8 laps per mile is 40 miles.
