A 4x5 inch photo is enlarged by multiplying every dimension by 2 to form a similar 8x10 inch photo. What is the ratio of the perimeter of the smaller rectangle to that of the larger?

    The first photo has a perimeter of 18

    The second photo has a perimeter of 36

    So, the ratio is 18:36 which simplifies to 1:2
