1.5^-2. how do i simplify that? the ^ means - 2 is an exponant

    1.5 = 1 1/2 = 3/2

    When there is a negative exponent, you find the reciprocal of the base, so therefore: 3/2 ^ - 2 = 2/3 ^ 2

    Then you square the numerator, then square the denominator: 2^2/3^2 = 4/9
