I want to know how to factor 25x^4 - 4x^5

    Take out the GCF

    x^4 (25 - 4x)

    I don't think it can be factored any more

    You could certainly handle it as the difference of squares.

    (5x² + 2x^2.5) (5x² - 2x^2.5).

    What's wrong with that?
