    So i am assuming the question is this

    b^2 + 12b + 20.

    so we need to find values that when multiplied = 20 and when added = 12

    so the answer would be

    (b+10) (b+2) = b^2 + 2b + 10b+20

    simplify

    we get b^2+2b + 20

    so we got it right

    so what are the value of b

    well

    (b+10) (b+2)

    b+10 = 0

    b = - 10

    and

    b+2 = 0

    b = - 2

    so b = - 10, or - 2.
