The one digit of a two digit number is one less than the tens digit. One-half the sum of the ones digit and double the tens digit is 13. Find the number and show your work.

    One digits is y & ten's is X

    according to question x-y=1 or x=1+y

    1/2 (y+2*) = 13

    y=8 &x = 9

    number is 98
