    Well, think about it

1/4 of the 20 oz bottle is 5 ounces

So you gave 5 ounces to a friend

Then, you took 3 ounces for yourself

    So 5 ounces + 3 ounces = 8 ounces

    You used 8 ounces

    So 20-8=12

    The fraction would be 12/20

And if you simliply it, you get 3/5

You have 3/5 oz of juice or soda left on that bottle

2020 - 5/20 = 15/20 This is the amount that you poured to your friend

    15/20 - 3/20 = 12/20 This is the amount that you drank

12 ounces is what is left
