Plug 1.6 in for x to see if it is correct:

    6 - 4x = - x/4

    6 - 4 (1.6) = - (1.6) / 4 (divide - 1.6 and 4)

    6-4 (1.6) = - 0.4 (multiply 1.6 and - 4)

    6-6.4 = - 0.4 (subtract 6 and 6.4)

    -0.4=-0.4

-0.4 does equal - 0.4. so that means that x does equal 1.6.
