    You have to find the Least Common Denominator which would be 15 so multiply (-2/3) by 5 and then you have ...

    (8/15) - (-10/15)

    Then you subtract them and since it's minus a negative, the 10/15 becomes positive then you have (8/15) + (10/15) which gives you 18/15

    Then simplify the 18/15 into 6/5

    Difference is 6/5 or 1 1/5 (As a whole number)
