There would not be enough wood to make all of those cuts

    2 2/5 x 7 = 16 4/5

    2 3/4 x 4 = 11

    16 4/5 + 11 = 27 4/5

there is no wood left because 27 4/5 is greater than 27. there is not enough wood to make all of these cuts.
