We need 1/2 of 3/4. So it'll look like this:

    (3/4) / 2

So! We need to work with this fraction inside a fraction. To do so take the denominator and flip it. Then multiply across.

    3/4 * 1/2

    3/8

Or you can think of it like this!

    3/4 is 0.75.

0.75/2 is 0.375 or in fraction form 3/8.

You can find the fraction form of 0.375 like a so ...:

(Each time I divide both the numerator and denominator by 5)

    375/1000

    75 / 200

    15 / 40

    3 / 8

I would say it's 3/8 of a cup because if you multiply 3/4 by 2 it would be 6/8. It's the same amount but just a different measurement. Now just take 3 away from 6/8 and you have 3/8 which is half of 3/4.
