Using the pythagorean theorem find the length of the leg of the right angle if the other leg is 8 feet long and the hypotenuse is 10 feet long

    A^2+b^2=c^2

    8^2+b^2=10^2

    64+b^2=100

    minus 64 both sides

    b^2=36

    sqrt both sides

    b=6

    the leg is 6ft
