    Before the repair: 340 miles/8 gallons = 42.5 m/g 42.5 m/g/$4 per gallon = $10.63

    After the repair: 350 miles/7 gallons = 50m/g 50m/g/$4 per gallon=$12.50

    $12.50-$10.63 = $1.87

    He saves $1.87 per mile
