    To find whether the statement sinx cosy = 1/2 (sin (x+y) + cos (x-y)) is true, we can assume values for x and y to check both sides. we assume 20 degrees for x and 40 degrees for y. when we try to take the difference of both sides (left-right), the asnwer is not zero in fact - 0.6409 which means the answer must be false
