    -7x - 10y = 40

    -7x + 7x - 10y = 40 + 7x

    -10y = 40 + 7x

    -10 - 10

    y = - 4 - ⁷/₁₀x

    NO, it's not you have to move the negative 7 to the other side wich makes it positive so you will be left with - 10y=7x+40 so then you divide everything by - 10

    so then it will be y=7/-10x+40/-10

    so the final answer will be y=7/-10-4
