A segment of a circle has a 120 arc and a chord of 8in. Find the area of the segment

    We calculate as follows:

    The radius must be 8/sqrt (3)

    So area of entire circle is pi * 64/3

    So area of sector is 64pi/9

    area of segment = 64pi/9 - 16sqrt (3) / 3 = 13.102 in^2
