What two numbers add up to - 13 and multiply to 36?

    When you are multiplying negative numbers, two - s makes a positive, and 4 x 9 = 36.

    Also, (-4) + (-9) = - 13, Because a + and a - makes a negative, so it is saying - 4 - 9. If you go down 9 on a number line from - 4, you get to - 13
