On a number line, between which two consecutive whole numbers would the square root of 70 be located? prove work/show work

    Square root of 64 is 8.

    Square root of 81 is 9.

    So, the square root of 70 has to lie in between the two consecutive numbers 8 and 9.

    Square root of 70 will be closer to 8 than it will be to 9, however.
