    So the first one

    diametter is 4

    d/2=r=4/2=2

    area=pir^2

    area=pi2^2=4pi

    16 circles

    diameter is 1

    d/2=1/2=r

    16 times pir^2

    16 times pi (1/2) ^2

    16 times pi (1/4)

    4 times pi

    4pi

    the 4 by 4 is 4pi

    the 16 circles is also 4pi

    trick question, both are equal area
