    Even integers are in form 2n where n is a whole number

    consecutive even integers are 2 apart

    2n and 2n+2

    2n is 10 more than 1/2 of (2n+2)

    2n=10+1/2 (2n+2)

    2n=10+n+1

    2n=11+n

    minus n both sides

    n=11

    2n=22

    2n+2=24

    the numbers are 22 and 24
