What is the solution of the system? Use substitution.

y = 6x + 2

3y - 18x = 12

    Ok so you have a equation already solved for a single variable which in this case is y. So just take 6x+2 and sub it in for all the y's in 3y-18x=12 3 (6x+2) - 18x=12. Now distribute the 3 to get 18x+6-18x=12. Next combine like terms to get 6=12 Now because we cant do anything else and our variable is canceled out and the equality of 6=12 is false the solution to this SoE would be No Solution.
