4^3 I am so confused on how i do this.

    = 4 * 4 * 4

    = 16 * 4

    = 64

    So you have your base=4, and you have your exponent=3

    What you need to do it * Multiply * your base by its self as many times as your exponent. Therefore, you will have 4*4*4.

    A lot of people get confused on this part because they think they have to do 4*3, but thats not the case. 4*4*4 is the right way to solve this.

    I will do a few more examples.

    You have 8^2 (^ is representing that the 2 will be my exponent)

    So do not do 8*2, do 8*8.

    I will do one more.

    100^5 (Remember ^ stands for the 5 will be a exponent)

    So that means, I have to do 100*100*100*100*100 not 100*5.

    Do you get it now?

    But the answer to your problem is 64.
