Scientific notation is always written as a number more than 0 but less than 10, (exg 4.5, 3.5, but not 12 or 84) times a 10 to the somthing power

    so

    45,000,000

we have to move the decimal place 7 places to the left to make the number less than 10 and more than 0 so

    4.5 times 10000000 or

    4.5 times 10^7

    or on online program 4.5e+07
