3/4g = 5/8

It seems like you should multiply 3/4 by 2 to get 6/8 but I don't know what I woud do from there.

    Then subtract 1/8? Is this now the common core in elementary?

    3/4g = 5/8

    g = 5/8 (division symbol) 3/4

    g = 5/8 x 4/3

    g = 20/24

    Therefore g = 5/6

    It's basic algebra
