(x+2) (2x-5) = 56

2x^2-5x+4x-10=56

2x^2-x-10=56

2x^2-x-66=0

2x^2-12x+11x-66=0

2x (x-6) + 11 (x-6) = 0

(2x+11) (x-6) = 0, since x is a measurement x>0 so:

x=6cm
