In your own words, explain the place value relationship when the same two digits are next to each other in a multi digit number

    If you have two of the same digit next to each other in a number, such as 11, the digit on the left side is worth 10 times more than the digit on the right. (Therefor, the digit on the right side is worth 10 times less than the digit on the left.)
