    X+3y=6

    Y=mx+b

    6=3y+x

    Minus 1x on both sides of the equation

    6-x=3y

    Divide each side by 3

    Y = 2-x over 3 (x/3)

    The way you would find slope and y-intercept is first you would take x and bring it over to the other side which would be 3y=6-1x next you would take three and divide it on both sides so it would then be y=2-1x the slope = - 1x and the y-intercept = 2
