Eric and Frank want to equally share for 3rd feet of rope what length the rope should each friend get

    Basically you just divide 3 by 2 which gives you: 1 1/2 ft each

    You would cut three in half as there is two people.

    3 / 2 = 1.5

    Each friend should get 1.5 or 1 1/2 feet of rope.
