Alaine has 1 gallon of paint. She is going to pour it into a tray of paint that measures 10 inches wide, 12 inches long, and 5cm deep.

(1 gallon=231in^3, 1 inch=2.54cm)

Which of the following scenarios will happen?

    The tray measures 10 * 12 * 2 = 240 cubic inches

    Since a gallon is 231 cubic inches, it will just fit into the tray.

    The paint will be about a tenth of an inch from the top of the tray.
