Rahul solved the equation 2 (x - 1/8) - 3/5 x = 55/4. In which step did he use the addition property of equality?

    2 (x - 1/8) - 3/5x = 55/4

    2x - 1/4 - 3/5x = 55/4 ... add 1/4 to both sides (addition property)

    2x - 3/5x = 55/4 + 1/4

    10/5x - 3/5x = 56/4

    7/5x = 14

    x = 14 * 5/7

    x = 70/7 = 10
