    Let cost of 1 apple i=x dollar

    and cost of 1 orange = y dollar

    according to question we get following equation

    james, 5x + 10y=4 ... (1)

    donald, 3x+9y=3 ... (2)

    solving 1,2 eq. we get

    x=2/5 dollars and y=1/5 dollars
