What is 7 and 3/4 minus 2 and 1/3? How do I show this?

Now, in order to add and subtract fractions, they need to have a common denominator. 3 and 4 share a common multiple of 12. 31/4 = 93/12. Multiply 31 by 3 to get the new numerator.) 7/3 = 28/12 (Multiply by 4 to get 12 in the denominator. Multiply 4 by 7 for the numerator.) 93/12 - 28/12 = 65/12 This fraction can also be expressed as a mixed number. 5 and 5/12.
