    The answer is 11. I'll explain, so if you don't want to read, don't read. 2 3/4 can be converted to 11/4 by making it improper. You can do this by multiplying the 2 by 4 and adding it to the 3 to get 11/4. Note that if the fraction was something like 5 2/3, you multiply the 5 by 3. Once you have 11/4, you know that Mr. Lowery is making 1/4 pound burgers, so you know that he can make 11 of them.
