Jason and Kyle both choose a number from 1 to 10 at random. What is the probability that both numbers are odd?. A. 1/3. B. 1/2. C. 1/4. D. 1/8.

    There are 100 possible pairs of numbers.

    Half of them start with an even number so only 50 have a first odd number.

    Of those remaining 50, half of those have an odd second number.

    Leaving 25 of the original 100 to have two odd numbers.

    P = 25/100=1/4
