    (x, y)

    (4,-5)

    subsitute and see if true

    sub 4 for x and - 5 for y

    5 (4) + 2 (-5) = 8

    20-10=8

    10=8

    false

    it is not a possible solution

    No because x=4 and y=-5 and when you plug it in you get 5 (4) + 2 (-5) = 8 20+-10=8 and 10 = does not work so it is not a possible solution.
