How many solutions are there to the equation below?

12x+6=5x

    I could be wrong, but I believe the answer is none.

    You want to get all the variables to the same side, so you would subtract 5x from both sides, leaving 7x+6=0

    You would then isolate the variable, by subtracting six from both sides. 7x=-6

    Since there is no variable multiplied by seven that would equal negative six, I believe there is no correct answer.
