The 7th and 8th grade students at a school voted on whether to have a picnic for a year-end activity. The results showed that 75% of the 7th grade students and 45% of the 8th grade students voted for a picnic. In addition, 30 more 7th grade than 8th grade students voted for a picnic. Let x represent the total number of the 7th grade students and y represent the total number of 8th grade students.
