Absolute error is the difference between the measured value and the actual value. It is one way to consider error when measuring the accuracy of values. If you know the actual and measured values, calculating the absolute error is a simple matter of subtraction its like super easy don't worry <3

    Find error by

error = measured value - true value

now absolute error is just the error without the - ve sign.

so if u get the error as - 5 (say), then absolute error is 5. simple as that.

so the thing to know is that absolute error only shows the difference between the measured and true values. but it doesnot give any info on which of the 2 values is greater.
