Katie cut out a piece of wrapping paper that was 2 times as long and 3times as wide as the box that she was wrapping. The box was 5 inches long and 4 inches wide. What is the perimeter of the wrapping paper that Katie cut?

    Length = 2 * box

    Length = 2 * 5 = 10

    Width = 3 * box

    Width = 3 * 4 = 12

    Perimeter = (2 * Length) + (2 * Width)

    Perimeter = (2 * 10) + (2 * 12)

    Perimeter = 20 + 24

    Perimeter = 44

    44 inches
