Shannon rolls a number cube and then chooses a card from set of cards numbered 1 through 5. What is the proability that she will roll an even number and choose an odd - numbered card?

    Half of the numbers on the cube are even, so there's a 1/2 chance that that number is even. 3/5 of the numbers on the cards, however, are odd. The chance that both of these occur is 3/5*1/2=3/10.
