If the outliers are not included in the data set below, what is the mean of the data set?

42, 43, 46, 48, 57, 60, 96, 59, 38, 68, 29

    You have to put them in order first.

    29, 38, 42, 43, 46, 48, 57, 59, 60, 68, 96

    the outliers should be 29 and 96, so kick those out of the set.

    38, 42, 43, 46, 48, 57, 59, 60, 68.

    then add them all together and divide it by 9. that will give you 51.2 repeating!
