Multiplication and division both share the same property about negative numbers. If one of your numbers is negative, you'll get a negative result, and if both are negative, they cancel out and you'll get a positive one. So the answer here would be true.

    If both are positive:

    4 * 2 = 8. positive

    4 : 2 = 2. positive

    If one is positive:

    -4 * 2 = - 8. negative

    -4 : 2 = - 2. negative

    If both are negative

    -4 * - 2 = 8. positive

    -4 : - 2 = 2. positive
