You are shopping and have $20 to sepnd on a birthday present for your brother. You know he loves baseball cards, which are $1.25 a piece. You already spent $3.50 on a card and wrapping paper. How many baseball cars can you buy your brother? (write an equation)

    16.50:1.25=13.2

    you can buy 13 baseball cards and have $0.50 (fifty cents) leftover (remainder)

    so the answer is 13 R. 0.20
