So we know that the club sent out 4 times as many coupons to potential members as existing. This means we have a ratio of 4:1

To find out the totals we must add both sides of the ratio to get the total parts of the ratio. 4=1 = 5

Then we divide the total coupons by the total parts 165/5 = 33

We now know that each part of the ratio is worth 33 coupons. Then we multiply each side of the ratio by 33 to get the totals:

    4 * 33 = 132 1*33 = 33

Since we know the existing members were the 1 side of the ratio the answer is C. 33
