    Y - y₁ = m (x - x₁)

    y - 7 = - 1¹/₄ (x - (-4))

    y - 7 = - 1¹/₄ (x + 4)

    y - 7 = - 1¹/₄ (x) - 1¹/₄ (4)

    y - 7 = - 1¹/₄x - 5

    + 7 + 7

    y = - 1¹/₄x + 2

    y=mx+b

    y=7 m=-5/4 x=-4 b=?

    7=-5/4 (-4) + b

    7=5+b

    7-5=5-5+b

    b=2

    Therefore, the equation is y=-5/4x+2

    That's it.
