On Jason's homework sheet he completed 12 problems on Monday, 17 on Tuesday, and 21 on Wednesday. When his teacher checked his work, we got 5 problems wrong. How many problems in all did he get right?

    12 + 17 + 21 = 50 problems total

    5 wrong so subtract 5

    50-5 = 45

    So he got 45 questions right

    First add all of the numbers together and take away 5 so 12+17+21 = 50
